Through the ages, youth have participated in various sports and adventures worldwide. Adventure sports are labeled as those activities that involve a high degree of danger. They are usually outdoor sports that involve intense and sometimes life-threatening activities. These adventure sports include water rafting, sailing, hang gliding, mountain biking, motorcycle jaunts, and mountain climbing, to name a few.
Some people prefer the quiet life, having fun playing cards, video games, or taking leisurely walks. Other people, especially youth, thrive by taking on extreme sports, hoping to survive but not worrying too much about consequences as they strive to conquer the moment. Why do they take risks, often worrying their parents? Is it the thrill? Is it the adrenaline rush? Is it taking on the dares provided by their peers?
