Over 1800 people, on October 6, 2016, gathered in the Queen Elizabeth Theatre to see and hear Sadhguru. The Queen Elizabeth Theatre is a performing arts venue in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is named after the current Canadian monarch, Elizabeth II. The Queen Elizabeth Theatre is one of Canada’s largest premium theatres. Refurbished in 2009, the theatre hosts opera, Broadway, music, presentations, and a broad spectrum of entertainment shows.

In this special, interactive event, Sadhguru offered inspirational and unique insights into many aspects of life, ranging from the commonplace to the ultimate. “The problem is this. You have been given a super, super computer… To be joyful is not a goal. It is a fundamental lubricant needed in your life. But you haven’t read the user manual… You should not just read the book (-referring to his new book, Inner Engineering: A yogi’s Guide to Joy)… It’s not a novel; it’s a manual.”  Many of the attendees commented on how being in Sadhguru’s presence gave them the opportunity to experience limitless joy including Dr. Gabor Mate, who stated that he believed Sadhguru embodies the truths of which he spoke. At the event’s conclusion, most of the people were joyfully dancing to the music played by the Sounds of Isha. For some, it was their first meditation, or their first time being with Sadhguru. Nonetheless, the crowd walked away inspired and smiling.

Experiences and Expressions:

“I’ve been following Sadhguru for a long time, but this time, this was my first chance to see him live… it was a wonderful, wonderful experience. And the meditation we did, I have tried to seriously meditate many, many times, but this was the first time that it worked. So, I’m really, really happy! And I got the book… so I can’t wait to sit down and read it. And I got to touch his feet… so that was nice. I’m very, very joyful! The music was awesome, you know, everybody inside, they were all trying to dance. That was nice.”

“The songs… the special feelings generated in my heart… lots to think about! And I think it will definitely make a difference in my life. And I’m looking forward to ‘Inner Engineering’, to learning more about it. It was such a lovely feeling to see him… his presence was so powerful!”

“I saw a man tonight who has clearly experienced reality, and who knows how to speak about it. I have every confidence in the truths he was expressing, and every confidence that he completely embodies those truths… I have less confidence in my own ability to understand it all, and less confidence in my own ability to live it. I will have to think about his teachings, read his books… it will be a great challenge for me. The challenge for me will be to embody it. I’m very grateful for having had the opportunity to hear Sadhguru speak.”

“Everyone should come and see him… everyone should come and see him, and hear Sadhguru speak, and experience the joy that he has put into everyone’s life. He’s a great personality, and just a divine soul, that’s all I can say. I had such a great time! And we will go and see him in his ashram in India next year… for sure! When he signed my book, he started dancing!”

“It was awesome! It’s the first time that I felt really connected to myself. And it was awesome to see him here. It was just great to see him here in front of me. I loved it. Just to see him here, I felt, my soul, my heart, everything is just happiness and joyful. Thank you Sadhguru, you are awesome! Thank you!”
