Sadhguru continued his increasingly popular Meet-and-Mingle Tour across the USA by visiting Austin on September 27, 2016, and Dallas, on September 28, 2016.

Austin

His first stop was at the AISD Performing Arts Center, which is a state-of-the-art facility designed specifically to enhance the arts experience. This is a newly built facility to promote educational and performing arts events. The art center was bustling with activity, as people gathered to get information and to buy Sadhguru’s new book: “Inner Engineering: A Yogi’s Guide to Joy”.

As Sadhguru entered, ‘Sounds of Isha’ was playing in the background, and the crowd was seated and eagerly attentive. “Your way of being should be determined by you and you alone”, Sadhguru stated as he began…”Joy and agony happen within you. All human experience is happening from within. At least what is happening in you should happen your way.” Sadhguru went on to say, “You are capable of joy, but not able to stay there…we know we can be joyful, not able to stay there, so we need some tools.” Sadhguru’s new book is such a tool. Sadhguru included a guided short meditation and concluded with answering questions from the audience. Participants gathered to have their books signed by Sadhguru. Many faces were beaming with smiles as they left, followed by a trail of sweet melodious sounds by the ‘Sounds of Isha’ musicians.

Experiences and Expressions:

“I just loved the evening. I felt very blessed to be here. I have been reading all of his works and watching his YouTube videos, so I was somewhat, you know, almost, prepared for what he had to say. My favorite part of what he said was about us leaving this world a better place for the next generation. I loved his proposals and his ideas, and I’m hoping that his new book will have more answers, especially because this book I bought here today is also for my son. It was a very blessed evening!”

“I loved all of the information that Sadhguru shared, it was a life-changing experience for me. I will never forget it. And… I can’t wait to get the new book, and I really want to do the course. It was awesome to be in Sadhguru’s presence.   Thank you so very much for this opportunity.”

“This was our first time with Sadhguru. I would have to say that there was a lot to observe, and a lot to consume… he gave us the basic initial steps. We now know to start inward first, that seems to be his central theme. He’s trying to move us towards world peace. He teaches us to practice peace. It was very enlightening. I look forward to reading his new book.”

“I really enjoyed Sadhguru’s talk today. I had always been taught that this life is basically miserable, that you have to pray to get out of this world, and not have a rebirth… this was the first time that I heard that I should enjoy this life, it’s so short, and it’s really all in your hands, you know, it’s how you create it by yourself… I think most of us might already know this, but to hear someone like Sadhguru emphasizing it so deeply, it makes you conscious of, yes, it is true. Now I’m really looking forward to how I can make it practical, how I can work for peace and for a better world.”

“I am new to Isha, I just completed in the Inner Engineering program, and I have tried many times to do yoga and meditation, but this was really the first time I felt a great joy and peace, and as soon as I closed my eyes, I felt an inner joy and happiness, and I certainly want more of that. I also brought my mother and sister. It was a very special experience.”

Sadhguru’s next Texas appearance was at the Charles W. Eisemann Center for Performing Arts. The Charles W. Eisemann Center opened in September 2002 and hosts a variety of performing arts, lectures and educational presentations.

Participants were riveted on Sadhguru as he gave his talk. “The human mechanism is the most sophisticated machine on the planet. Human beings can suffer just about anything because we don’t know how to handle this human mechanism… billions of planets and stars didn’t collide today and one single thought in your brain, it’s a bad day today.” He added a joke here and there—truth wrapped in a smile. Sadhguru also spoke about his new book, “This book is not like a novel. This is like a user manual.” As he spoke, his essence filled the hall with joy, bliss and an unforgettable warmth. It was another magical afternoon with Sadhguru.

Experiences and Expressions:

“I was just amazed and floored by his… embodiment of joy. He was just totally centered, and so beautiful. I was in the back, but I could just feel his deep, deep love for everyone. –so beautiful. What a miracle that I was even there… what a miracle! A ticket available, and the practices he had us do… it gave me a taste… just the perfect taste. I can’t wait to read the new book. Thank you, Sadhguru.”

“It was very inspiring, listening to his speech. I especially liked when he explained that being good was as being joyful… that’s something I’ve never heard before. It really made me think. It was a very unique experience. I was exposed to a very different perspective. I’ll try to incorporate what I learned into my life, to be more conscious and joyful. I’m so glad I came here and had the chance to be with Sadhguru and hear him talk.”

“I really enjoyed it, it was very authentic, there was no hidden agenda, I liked his message, it was very good, very clear, and it was everything I believe in, that we have a choice in how we control our emotions and our perspectives. The thing that he said that I never thought about before… that a lot of differences in the world come from America… so it’s important that we spread spirituality from here. I really liked that.”

“I have read a few of Sadhguru’s books, my American friend told me about Sadhguru, and what a profound experience he has had with his teachings… you know, joyfulness and being present. I came here to experience that, and I found it to be extremely blissful, to hear it from the source, after reading his books. I’m going to take it with me, and try to live what I heard here today.”
