We want our leaders to be honest and to inspire us. We hope they demonstrate commitment, passion, accountability and that they make decisions that benefit those they lead. Sometimes we vote for our leaders and other times they are appointed. But either way, our expectations don’t waiver: we want them to be the best candidates for the job..

Innovation can distinguish a leader from a follower. Being creative and keeping up to date in their field is essential for a leader in today’s fast-paced world. Empathy and setting a good example for others are other traits most people respect. But are we identified with our own definitions of what makes a good leader? Is there more to leadership than meets the eye?
